Marbles Bag

How time passes! The son of a friend started school this week and therefore we had a big party in the park with lots of games, good food and presents.

The present I made him was this marbles bag (including some cool marbles, that is).

Seeing as he has a preference for green and likes cats, I hope that he likes this bag, as well. :-)
(I especially like the cool pin which says "school-kid". Not my creation, though.)

Short White Pullover

You may ask, why I sew a pullover this time of the year, however,
1. there has never been sth that resembles a person's associations about the word summer,
2. it's a summer pullover (because it's short and light).
:D
AND it's a summer pullover because I will take it with me to Fuerteventura where I will spend Autumn this year due to a hotel PR placement. (I'm not allowed to use the swimming-pools, so don't go "ahhh"). ;-)

However, in case you want to knit a pullover like mine, this is the basic pattern (I've used one I found in a German knitting-mag called "Rebecca"):
simply use a rib pattern (one left, one right, one left, one right, you get it) for one row, then do one row right knit stitches only. After that you repeat it until you have the length you need.

Thanks go to my mum who (again) helped me a lot and whose ideas were the crochet as well as the ribbon. :-)

Proudly presenting: the Flower Top, my very first garment ever!

I have to admit I'm feeling a little tiny bit proud.

This is the first garment I've ever sewn (apart from slippers and bags, that is).
The front:

And: there's no tracing pattern to it since I've copied a cut from an H&M-top using Burda copy-foil
--> (Kopierfolie!! What a mad process - but it did work!!) :D

The back:
Don't get too close - you can see that it's been my first try... -.-

And a very blurry, red-ish photo made by night from how it looks when you wear it.
(Namely, NOT like the original shirt because the orginal is made from jersey and I used plain cotton...)

See the school-bag in the background? Yep, I've been terribly busy studying... ;P

Hello again...with Tilda's Folding Sewing Case

I'm so sorry that I've left you for such a long time. There were lots of exams to be taken and an internship to plan... -.-

However, here's what I've sewed in the past few weeks, not to mention: months, ha!!

Last year I've been living in a flat share with lots of fashion design students (cause the fashion school was just next to the building).

I'm still friends with one of the girls and knowing that she uses needles all day long, I made her this birthday present:

It's the same pattern Erna the Horse and Agathe the Duck are from.
(...ha, this sounds quite funny!)

Rose is a Rose is a Rose is a Rose

...no matter whether it's on a shoe...

...or on a ring:

As easy as this to make:

=

P.S.: Nooo, I didn't destroy the shoes just for making a ring!! A longer time ago, one shoe lost a rose and as we didn't find it again, my mum and I decided to take the other rose off, as well. I kept the rose - and tadaa! :D

New fabrics!

As a belated birthday-present I received a big parcel from my friend Vivien today.
It contained lots of colorful and very very beautiful fabrics.

The sewing-machine will be clattering again! :D

Erna loves (to eat) Strawberries

This is Erna. Erna is curious.

Erna likes strawberries. She's terribly hungry, you know...

Yummie! :P

Erna was a birthday present for my horse-infatuated friend Geesche.
